SOCIAL MEDIA
We offer a voice of hope through social media.
Lutheran Media and its associated Messages of hope posts regularly on social media, sharing messages of hope in Jesus to more than 6000 followers.
According to McCrindle research, the first faith encounter for new and exploring Christians is online. Almost half of Gen Z use social media as their primary source of spiritual life. So the question is – ‘if young people are going to social media for spiritual encounters, what are they seeing and where are we?’ In having an active online presence through social media, we are offering a voice of hope into the lives of people who are seeking hope in a hope-less world.

Helping you to bless your community
Each week Lutheran Media posts the upcoming Gospel reading (from the church’s lectionary readings) on social media. (Scroll down to see them.) We invite you to use them to enhance your community's ministry.
- Like and share the posts on social media, and your church can like and share the posts, too. By liking and sharing Christian content, a whole new audience (your friends and followers) hear of God's love for them.
- Reflect on the Gospel reading as preparation for your weekly worship
- Copy the post into your community's PowerPoint slides; for example, as an introduction to the worship time or as a sermon/message slide.

For your reflection... the Gospel reading for this coming Sunday is Luke 19:11-27.
The parable of the gold coins.
In this parable, we see that the one who used the money wisely was rewarded. Do we treasure the gifts God has given us in the same way?

For your reflection…The gospel reading for this coming Sunday is Luke 20:27-38.
If you had one chance to ask Jesus a curly question, what would it be? In this reading, some of the Sadducees (who did not believe in resurrection) were questioning the relationship between marriage and the after-life. We can’t possibly compare what happens here on earth to eternal life after resurrection. We can trust that for those who believe, God has prepared an incomparable and glorious life in heaven for us.
