We are now officially octogenarians! It was on 2nd September 1945 that the first broadcast went to air on Australian radios through The Lutheran Hour. Can you believe that it’s been 80 years?
Throughout the past 8 decades, Lutheran Media has evolved – from reel to reel radio broadcasts to podcasts and social media. We give thanks to God for the blessing of 80 years – sharing hope in times of crisis and challenge. It all began with a desire to share the gospel via radio, and as listeners responded, we heard countless stories of people being inspired by messages of hope. Whether it be depression, loneliness, addiction, pain or the everyday challenge of parenting or ageing, many stories have been shared of people finding hope in extraordinary ways.
